History

Al-Meezan Education and Welfare Society is an educational institution with minority status. Education is a service provided by the institution. It has been recognised as a fundamental right and a means of progress. By encouraging the personal and active development of its students, the institution empowers future generations of minorities to create a positive social and economic impact in the modern world.

Founded in 1990 under the leadership of the founder president Hazrat Maulana Makhdoom Hussain Saheb (R.A.), the institution’s Chairman Sheikh Mohammad Rafiq, the institution’s secretary Adv. Sheikh Rafiq Yasin and all the directors established Al-Meezan Education Society from the foundation of a primary school.

Makhdumia Gulshan-e-Atfal, Al-Meezan Primary School, Hazrat Maulana Makhdoom Hussain Saheb Urdu High School, Makhdooyia College of Science and Arts and Ali Public School have developed into a group of excellent institutions providing educational services. This institution now manages a total of four institutions with 1100 students currently enrolled. The institutions managed by Al-Meezan Education and Welfare Society are affiliated with Pune University and recognised by the Government of Maharashtra.
